The Society can arrange funerals for people who are not members of one of our affiliated synagogues.

This can either be a burial or cremation depending on the bereaved families wishes.

In all cases we cannot arrange a funeral until a cause of death certificate has been issued by the GP or Physician.

We need in all cases, proof of Jewish identity enabling us to proceed with arrangements for a funeral.

Jewish burials are usually held within 24 - 48 hours of death, but may be delayed if family members have to travel from overseas.
All cremations due to the increased formalities that are required will be held a minimum of 72 hours after death. 

The staff will be pleased to offer help and advice on the funeral their procedures and arrangements.

The cost of a funeral is inclusive of all undertaking, cemetery, minister fees and gratuities but exclusive of the cost of limousines for mourners. The hire of limousines can be made by the office and the price is on application. All funeral cost payments have to be made prior to the funeral by either Switch/Maestro, Cash, Cheque, Visa or Mastercard.
